Studying in Australia

by Gdaymate 2020. 5. 4.

Australia is one of the top destinations to study for international students. The number of new students from overseas has increased dramatically in recent years (before the corona virus outbreak). Some of the countries like USA have faced the reduced number of international students.

There must be some reasons. First of all, safety. Safety is a bid deal for international students. Most of the international students are from countries where gun-possession is not allowed personally. But they watch lots of violence on media about gunshooting or something relevant to guns. Also, President Trump has been modifying immigration regulations which make all immigrants less eager to come to the states.

Second, Work. If you have a student visa in Australia, you can work up to 20 hours per week and 40 hours fornightly. This really helps students to pay their tuition and living expenses. Minimum wage in Australia is pretty high and many students work without tax, 'cash job'. If you work around 20 hours with proper wage, it's enough for your weekly expenses including accommodation, meals and transport. During school break whether it's summer, winter or spring, you can work full-time. Yes, it's time to SAVE as much as you can for your next tuition! Tuition in Australia is extremly expensive and it increases EVERY fxxxxxx year!

And Weather! Weather down under is awesome! BEAUTIFUL!

I lived in Sydney for a year and half to study and work. I loved the Sydney weather. Throughout the year, it's not too hot and cold. In the mornings, it's chill to wear a light jacket and warm enough in the afternoons to wear shorts. Of course, in summer, it's hot hot hot from the morning. But if you are from the northern hemisphere that has clear four seasons, then Sydney will show you the perfect weather!
